Taskly allows you to schedule a site visit on a booking request before sending a quote. This is useful when you need to assess the job in person before pricing it. The following article outlines how to create and manage site visits.
Site visits are scheduled from a booking request. They are separate from confirmed bookings and do not generate invoices. Once a site visit is complete you can send a quote from the same booking request.
Go to Booking Requests and open the booking request you would like to schedule a visit for
Press Schedule Visit
Select the Assigned Staff for the visit. You can assign multiple staff members, or leave this blank.
Set the Visit Date
Set the Start and Finish time
Press Submit
A confirmation email will be sent to the customer and the assigned staff. The visit will appear in the Visits section of the booking request and on your Taskly Calendar.
Site visits can be managed directly from the Visits section of the booking request.
Press Mark Complete next to the visit
Optionally add Notes and upload Photos from the visit
Press Submit
Notes and photos added when marking a visit complete are inherited on the booking record if the booking request is later converted to a booking. This is useful for capturing before/after evidence or information that will help you price the job accurately.
Press Reschedule next to the visit
Update the date and/or time
Press Submit
A notification will be sent to the customer and assigned staff with the updated details.
Press Cancel next to the visit
Confirm the cancellation
Once you have completed a site visit, you can send a quote to the customer directly from the booking request. Learn how to send a quote.
