Create and Import Customer Records

Taskly allows you to create and manage customer records directly within the platform, or import them in bulk from an existing list. The following article outlines how to add individual customers and import multiple records at once.

Create an Individual Customer

  1. Go to Customers

  2. Press New Customer

  3. Add the Customer Details

    If you add Notes these will be appear on all of the customers booking records. This can be helpful for things like gate pins, or access instructions.

  4. Press Create or Create & Create Another

Import Customers in Bulk

  1. Go to Customers

  2. Press Import Customers

  3. Download the CSV File

    The CSV file requires you to put your customer data in the columns it provides. At a minimum a customer record must have a first name, last name, and an email address. Everything else is optional.

  4. Upload the Completed CSV

  5. Press Import

    The import will run in the background and you’ll receive a notification in Taskly when it has been completed.

  6. If there are errors with your file, these will be excluded from the import and you can download an error file specifying the reason for each exclusion in the notifications menu.
