September - Product Update
Two of the features we teased last month have landed. Taskly now works as a full mobile app, and you can control exactly what each staff member can see and do. We've also made quoting more flexible and made the whole platform faster and easier to use.
What's new?
Taskly mobile app. Taskly is now a full mobile app experience that installs straight to your phone's home screen. See how to install →
Role-based access. Set roles for staff to control what they can see and do in Taskly, including hiding pricing. Learn more →
Skip quoting and create a booking. Create bookings directly from quotes, without waiting for the customer to accept.
Quotes with no date. Issue a quote with no date or time attached. Once it's accepted, schedule the booking whenever suits you. Learn more →
New reports section. More insight into how your business is performing.
Updated dashboard. Your dashboard now shows the key tasks that need your attention, like bookings to mark as completed or payments to chase.

August - Product Update
🎉 Invoicing in Taskly just got a whole lot better!
We've given quotes and invoices a handful of upgrades that make them fit the way you actually work, from optional add-ons to finer-grained quantities to more control over what customers see.
What's new?
Quote line items can now be marked optional — customers can pick and choose add-ons when they accept a quote.
PDF invoices are now attached straight to the emails your customers receive. Faster for you, cleaner for them.
Line item quantities now support up to two decimal places.
Customise the invoice due date at the point a booking is completed.
Invoice line items can be edited — editing locks automatically once an invoice is paid or exported to Xero.
Business addresses are now hidden on public-facing emails and invoices, unless you're a location-based business.
That’s not all!
You can now ‘cc’ in other staff when leaving comments. Staff will be notified they have been left a comment.
Business addresses have been removed from public-facing emails and invoices by default.

🎉 Xero Sync Just Got a Whole Lot Smarter
Taskly's Xero integration now supports full two-way payment sync, in real time. Whether a payment is recorded in Taskly or Xero, both systems stay in lockstep — mark it paid in either place, and the balance updates everywhere. No more double handling, no more chasing down which system has the "real" number.
Along with the sync upgrade, we've also nailed down exactly how card surcharges flow through to your books: surcharges now post to Xero as their own bank transaction, cleanly separated from your invoice income, so your GST and reconciliation stay accurate without extra manual work.
What's new:
Real-time, two-way payment sync — paid in Taskly or paid in Xero, it syncs instantly either way
Surcharges sync separately — card surcharge income is coded to its own dedicated account in Xero, never mixed into your invoice line items
Smarter GST handling — surcharge GST automatically follows your Taskly revenue tax rate
Direct links both ways — jump straight from a Taskly invoice to its matching Xero invoice with one click
PO numbers carry across — any PO number added in Taskly now appears on the synced Xero invoice
Clear failure alerts — if a sync ever fails, you'll get a straight answer why, right in your notifications
