Taskly allows you to create additional invoices for a booking. This is useful if extra work was completed that wasn't included in the original invoice generated with the job, or if you need to charge for materials or add-ons after the job.
The following article outlines how to create an additional invoice for a booking.
This is different from an ad hoc invoice. If you want to combine multiple bookings onto a single invoice, see Create an Ad Hoc Invoice instead.
If your booking is set to pay on completion, you may not need to create an additional invoice as when you mark the job as completed you can adjust the order lines on the invoice due to be generated.
The following process should only be completed if:
a) You have already issued the invoice for booking and need to charge the customer more for something else related to the same job.
b) You need a separate invoice for the booking, e.g. you are invoicing the job in stages.
Go to Bookings and open the booking you would like to raise an additional invoice for.
Scroll to the Price section on the booking record.
Press Add Invoice.
Enter the line items for the additional charges, select a Service or add a Description, Quantity, and Price for each item.. Quantity accepts any positive value with up to two decimal places, for example 4.5.
If the customer has already paid, enable the Already Paid toggle.
Optionally add an Invoice note and a PO Number at the bottom of the screen. Anything you enter in Invoice note prints on the customer's PDF invoice, for example "Additional materials supplied on site." Leave it blank and no note appears on the invoice.
Press Submit.
The additional invoice (or receipt if marked as paid) will be sent to the customer immediately and will appear alongside the original invoice on the booking record.
