Add a Staff Member/Provider

Taskly allows you to add staff members or service providers to your account so they can be assigned to jobs and manage their own schedules. The following article outlines how to add a new staff member or provider.

Taskly allows you to add staff members and service providers to your account so they can be assigned to jobs and receive booking notifications. The following article outlines how to add and manage staff.

Add a Staff Member

  1. Go to Staff

  2. Press New Staff

  3. Select the Role for the staff member:

    • Admin (full access) — full access to Taskly, including all settings, bookings, customers, and invoices

    • Basic (limited access) — can log in and view their assigned bookings, but has limited access to other areas of Taskly

    • Info (no login or notifications) — used to represent a staff member or vehicle on the calendar for assignment purposes only. They will not receive any notifications and cannot log in.

  4. Enter the staff member's First Name and Last Name

  5. Enter their Email address

  6. Optionally enter their Phone number

  7. Set a Calendar Color — this colour will be used to identify this staff member's bookings on the Taskly calendar

  8. Under Notifications, choose whether to send them Email and/or SMS notifications for booking assignments, reminders, and changes

  9. Press Create

Taskly is billed per seat. Admin and Basic roles each count as one seat. Info roles do not count toward your seat limit — you can add as many Info team members as you need at no extra cost. Your current usage is shown at the top of the Staff list (e.g. "2/2 users").

Edit a Staff Member

  1. Go to Staff

  2. Press Edit next to the staff member you would like to update

  3. Make your changes and press Save Changes

Staff Calendar Colours

Each staff member can be assigned a unique calendar colour so you can quickly identify who is assigned to each job at a glance. Jobs with multiple staff assigned will show multiple colours. Learn how to update staff colours.
