🎉 Xero Sync Just Got a Whole Lot Smarter
Taskly's Xero integration now supports full two-way payment sync, in real time. Whether a payment is recorded in Taskly or Xero, both systems stay in lockstep — mark it paid in either place, and the balance updates everywhere. No more double handling, no more chasing down which system has the "real" number.
Along with the sync upgrade, we've also nailed down exactly how card surcharges flow through to your books: surcharges now post to Xero as their own bank transaction, cleanly separated from your invoice income, so your GST and reconciliation stay accurate without extra manual work.
What's new:
Real-time, two-way payment sync — paid in Taskly or paid in Xero, it syncs instantly either way
Surcharges sync separately — card surcharge income is coded to its own dedicated account in Xero, never mixed into your invoice line items
Smarter GST handling — surcharge GST automatically follows your Taskly revenue tax rate
Direct links both ways — jump straight from a Taskly invoice to its matching Xero invoice with one click
PO numbers carry across — any PO number added in Taskly now appears on the synced Xero invoice
Clear failure alerts — if a sync ever fails, you'll get a straight answer why, right in your notifications
